With the locally confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, Pappy’s Pet Lodge is reaching out to assure you that we’re doing everything we can to prevent any exposure in our pet enrichment centers. Our team is carefully monitoring the situation and strictly following the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations.
– Frequently sanitizing and disinfecting all public surfaces in our facilities
– Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all lodges, playrooms, and food/water bowls after every use
– Fully stocked with all necessary cleaning supplies and disinfectant to maintain these standards
– Reminding staff to wash their hands often and stay home if they feel sick
As loving pet parents, you may be wondering how COVID-19 impacts your pets. We’re relieved to share that pets cannot get sick from COVID-19 and there is no evidence that pets can spread the virus, according to current reports from the CDC and WHO. However, we do still recommend adopting good hygiene habits, such as washing your hands, especially before handling any pet items.
We understand the effect COVID-19 is having on our community. As a result, Pappy’s Pet Lodge is happy to work with all of our pet parents regarding modified travel plans. We will continue to operate normally and welcome any pets who are in need of exercise and socialization in a clean and safe environment. Our shelves will also remain stocked with American-made pet supplies so that our pet owners can minimize the amount of time they spend outside their homes.
